I don't have my books to check if a "ns" no suffix block was made in 1940, but on the way from the "z" block back to the "a" block there is a no-suffix block. Since last week I have my first Luger DWM 1920 with police markings, the 08 is also in the "n"-block. It is in good used condition with matching numbers 1052 n.
