If you can afford a rifle built from USGI parts on a forged receiver, definitely do it. If not, the M1A will be fine, and when it breaks SAI is supposed to have a great warranty. 4. They have not made them in 35 plus years…so they are collectors items, esp the folding stock version.

JRA is a great choice and the 19.25" is nice vs. the SAI Scout length as you can remove the gas system without taking off the flashhider!
