Urgently need to bypass fuel cutoff solenoid. I have an early '94 F-700 Ford ex- Ryder moving truck that came from the factory with a 12 valve Cummins with the "Good" inline pump. If you ever suspect that you might have a bad fuel relay that supplies power to the fuel shutoff solenoid to provide for fuel flow its parts number is ACA12115 (CA1a-12V-A-5). Two Kubota dealers I checked with had no listing on the fuel relay. You can find this relay on the internet by entering the part number.Deleted the mechanical fuel pump, ran all new fuel lines, and installed a new fuel selector valve and electric fuel pump. The amount of Kubota solenoids for sale on eBay is amazing, so it must be a common problem. If you have gotten the solenoid wet, like from power washing, it is a harbinger for failure.There is no need to 'bypass' the solenoid electrically -- if it is open internally it will not draw any power. But you do need the solenoid plunger to retract so fuel will flow to the engine for the diesel to start and run. Either remove the plunger from the fuel solenoid or if you had a safe way to block the opening where the fuel solenoid would be if you removed it (not recommended) . What I did was electrically energized the solenoid directly from the battery with a couple jumper wires. It picks up and seems to want to hold, but still no start.
