bolin03. Actually you can start an ES model in gear by pulling in the front brake and it will start in gear no problem. To get it into neutral with a dead battery you will have to use the special tool that comes with it and do it manually there is a short post that sticks out on the front of the engine it connects to.check the fuse holder at the starter solenoid, make sure it is good, power in, and power out, on both sides of the fuse !. Most 4-wheeler problems are caused by a loose nut connecting the handlebars and the seat!! You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape.
