Honda atv turns over but won t start
TRX420 won't start. Hello everyone. I have read in the past the great advice in this forum and find them very helpfull. I have a 2009 Honda TRX420FPE ES 4x4 with power steering. I was riding it the other day, and it just shut off when I stopped. I can not get it to start again. The battery is new and the connoections are tight.Essentially, the starter DOES spin, which in turn spins the bigger gears, but the reaction is the same. Empty spinning. It's not turning the engine over to crank it. So when you hold the starter button down, the gears just spin without the engine turning over. . .sounds kind of like holding the trigger of a drill down.

Reading the forums I tried the fuel injector tip since it seemed as though it wasn't getting fuel. I had already replaced the battery since it was still the original battery.A reading of 12 volts on the green wire at the coil means that there is a break in the path of the green wire somewhere between the coil and the ground connection on the machine frame. Now the only thing that happens is that the Solenoid just clicks. I bought a new battery since it had a used one. That made no difference. Volts 12.5V. Under Load with the solenoid clicking Volts 6V. Display: Has a N for Neutral and after I try to start it and the solenoid clicks the Gear Display shows a -. After running into a dozen "unknown" issues, it's finally back together, but the injector won't squirt fuel. If you really want to check for fuel there are two ways I can see going about this with minimal entry into the engine. 1. Pull the spark plugs for each cylinder one at a time and crank it and smell for fuel. 2. Pull the IM off the top and see if you hear clicking from the fuel injectors when it is running.I am thinking the fuel pump or fuel filter. I recommend checking the fuel filter first. Thanks. When you turn on the key under normal circumstances you should hear 1. the fuel pump hum for a few seconds, 2. the IACV will buzz and 3. there should be a click from one of the relays under the seat. family dollar box fans pricematthew queen bakersfield That is your front driveshaft, right behind that there should be the place to put your shift lever between the driveshaft and the shift motor. The angle sensor is at the back of the motor on the same shaft. (I haven't gauged it, but thumb over plug hole) Neutral light is on. Engine cranks over but that is all. Occasionally will backfire really loud.
