I'm still only in early hardmode, but I can say that pre hardmode really isn't that hard. Just kill 1 EoW segment, get the light disc, kill like 5 more, get full hallowed armor pre boss. Beat EoC, beat Skeletron and now make the True Night's Edge and neg diff the wall of fodder. I did fish for them at 2300 on large world, which is cavern layer by depth meter, but has grass everywhere on getfixedboi. I could NOT fish out the clowfish (quest for ocean) from my oceans. The ocean doesnt even drop regular ocean fish.
