A weak coil can cause problems also..just blow through your vent tube to test for obstruction, remove your gas cap when you do it. If the motor cranks when you jump it there are a couple of things that it could be, a bad 20 amp fuse, starter solenoid, ignition switch, safety neutral switch, or bad wiring. (I'm assumming the control box is in neutral). The 20 amp fuse is on the motor in a red wire coming off the solenoid. (I would check the fuse first).Regular Contributor. Jun 29, 2013. #2. The manual release screw should be accessed thru a hole on the starboard (right) transom bracket; two turns out should be enough to release. Looks like you may have to use a hand held impact screwdriver to loosen that fill screw. It is the one you have circled. Good luck.
